Horse Geeks Episode 56: Straight On A Circle

The Horse Geeks Podcast – Where we look at horses and riding from the inside out

Topic: How we can use the information provided from scientific research to improve our horse’s movement and mechanical soundness. The different versions of how we are taught to help our horses become “straight on a circle” can either lead to ideal mechanical use of the spine or can actually cause dysfunctional use of the spine, leading to many performance issues, behavioral problems or painful lameness issues. Updating our training strategies to reflect what we learn from current research is how we can all help our horses remain healthy at all levels of riding.
